The Johannesburg-born forward has been in top form so far this season, netting four times in the league, which earned him a call-up to the Bafana squad
According to a top official at United, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to Goal, the 28-year-old forward has agreed terms to join AmaKhosi on a four-year contract.
“I can confirm that our player David Zulu will move to Kaizer Chiefs on a four-year deal. The two club bosses recently agreed on the transfer fee,” the official told Goal.
“It was evident on Monday when David didn’t train with his teammates here in Port Elizabeth that he was busy with transfer talks,” concluded the official.
Goal then contacted Zulu’s business manager of Abbie Rasimphi of Liberate Resources Sports Management, who could not deny or confirm the news.
“You are the second person to call me about that. At the moment, I cannot comment on that, as I’m in Mafikeng busy assisting one of my clients Mpho Mvelase (Chippa United defender) with his father’s funeral arrangements. So I’ll only comment on that when I return to Johannesburg,” Rasimphi told Goal.
The 2013/14 National First Division (NFD) top scorer referred Goal to his lawyer Vincent Madela of Madela Attorneys, when contacted regarding the transfer news.
“Unfortunately, I cannot comment until the president of the agency (Rasimphi) returns to Johannesburg from Mafikeng soon,” Madela told Goal.
The former Black Leopards is most likely to move to AmaKhosi during the next Transfer Window.
