As thousands of families head for Sundays River this Sunday for the annual SPAR Redhouse River Mile, 4 lucky Mile swimmers will come away from the event as proud owners of a brand new Scooter motorbike thanks to local PE specialist automotive body repairer, AutoTrust.
AutoTrust, for the past 3 years have sponsored 3 scooter motorcycles as a winners jackpot prize where the names of top 5 Men and Ladies in the Mile swim are put into a lucky draw for the bikes.
“We like to reward excellence and have taken this opportunity as a means to reward the cream of the crop swimmers to attain a higher performance. ” said Autotrust owner Dolf Jonker.

The River Mile festival takes place at Cannonville, Sundays river with the program of events starting at 8am with the Discovery Off Road Trail Run and, an hour late, the Triathlon. The Stormforce kids preliminary races for novice swimmers 12 years and under sets off from 11:30am. The wetsuit and disabled mile swims start at 12:30 and then the premier Ladies mile follows at 1:30pm with the Men’s race starting 45-minutes later.
Late entries will still be available online till Friday morning, thereafter only at the event on Sunday morning.
