NOTICE: On Friday, 17 February, water will be cut from 7 am – 2 pm at the Corner of Gxilishe Street and Mission Road. Areas affected will be Wards 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and 33 (Govan Mbeki, Veeplaas, Missionvale, Algoa Park, and parts of Zwide).
Residents and businesses will be able to use water that is available in the pipeline from 12 pm to 7 am.
Technicians will be fixing a leak and undertaking maintenance work and general repairs.
On 18 and 19 February, water will be cut from 10 am – 2 pm and 9 am – 4 pm respectively in most lower areas of Ward 5 (Govan Mbeki Avenue up to the Russel Road intersection, Strand Street, and parts of the Harbour). This will allow technicians to do repairs on the two pipes inside the water chamber in the City Hall vicinity.
The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality will be working tirelessly to make sure that supply disruption times are in fact shorter than anticipated. These scheduled repair and maintenance related interruptions are part of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s plans to improve infrastructure, decrease its water losses, and provide a quality and uninterrupted water supply to residents and businesses.
