Kragga Kamma Transfer Site Update:
On Saturday morning, 6 May 2012, the Metro started cleaning up the Kragga Kamma transfer site. I have been informed that other Directorates in the Municipality have made some trucks available to help with the clean-up operation and, although the problem is still not sorted out, some progress has been made to date.
I am currently driving the issue with the Municipal Manager and other officials and will not stop until we have reached an amicable arrangement for all.
The Democratic Alliance will be discussing this issue internally as it affects all the residents of the Metro and we will decide on the way forward. I will keep you up to date with any further developments.
Correction on Mothers Day Message
Thanks to those residents who picked up the ‘typo’ error in the mothers’ day message in my newsletter. It should have read:
“On Sunday, 13 May 2012, we once again celebrate Mothers’ Day and would like to say thanks to all the wonderful mothers for what they do for us so SELFLESSLY. Enjoy your day.”
Please accept my sincere apologies.
