Volkswagen’s FactoryTour vehicle is three years old this month and has taken just short of 40 000 visitors into the Uitenhage Factory. The stylish 21-seater vehicle allows visitors to see the vehicle manufacturing process and brings the automotive industry to life.

“The FactoryTour vehicle is a comfortable and inventive way of showing our technical process to visitors. A large number of the visitors on the factory tours are school children and I am proud that we are able to ignite engineering and manufacturing passion in young minds by allowing them access to the factory,” said Thomas Schaefer, Chairman and Managing Director of Volkswagen Group South Africa.
