The NMMU Department of Music presents a Voice Studio Lunch Hour Concert on 17 September, 13:00 in the NMMU South Campus Auditorium.
The concert will feature a variety of voice students all of which reflect the exciting range of musical activity amongst students within the NMMU music department. The voice students are all from Lionel van Zyl’s Voice studio.
Students that will be performing include Liske Potgieter, Siphokazi Molteno, Andy Matima, Aston Wylie, Danelle van Rooyen, Terry-Ann Julies, Angela Freer and Papama Diamond.
The concert will feature a variety of works such as by Chansson and the opera Hansel und Gretel, O Mio Banino Caro and the famous Cara Nome from Rigoletto by Verdi. Other works include the beautiful Vocalise by Rachmannioff the Coloratura master piece The Russian Nightingale. The passionate Visi d’arte from Puccini’s Tosca and the frolicking Brüderlein Schwesterlein ensemble from Die Federmaus by Johann Strauss will also be on the programme.
