The Serbian, unhappy with the amount of optional time played, confronted referee Harry Lekitlane after the final whistle at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

“I was not happy that the referee did not include three minutes added time,” Vermezovic said in a TV interview after the game.

Premier Soccer League spokesman Altaf Kazi says they will study Lekitlane’s match report before deciding whether to take disciplinary action.

“We have not received the referee’s report, as a result we can’t comment,” he told the Sowetan.

The result left Chiefs sitting third in the standings, while they saw Mamelodi Sundowns extend their lead at the top of the standings to five points.
