The Kings picked up their first victory of the Super Rugby season as they saw off a spirited Sunwolves side, winning 33-28 on Saturday2 April 2016.
Victory takes the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium outfit off the bottom of the overall standings and just three points behind the Jaguares while the Sunwolves replace them as the basement franchise.
The Southern Kings are now second last out of the eight teams in the South African Group on the Vodacom Super Rugby log with 4 points, the Sunwolves trail on 3 points and the Jaguares and Toyota Cheetahs are both on 7 points.
