Singer songwriter Anton entertains with his skills as a veteran National Arts festival performer.
His strong vocal attack and the way he slings his lyrics puts him into a league of his own amongst the East Cape’s finest.
Anton’s cabaret style gig pulls no punches and takes no prisoners as he bangs out his tunes and quietly picks his ballads in the acoustic style of old blues men and folk players.
Currently a school teacher, Anton has lived a varied life, his stories and songs from “Unfaithfully Yours” feature original material from his shows in the early 1990’s to date.
“Unfaithfully Yours” is a retrospective of Calitz’s original songs from 1991 to date, from his many National Arts Festival shows such as “Dead Slugs and Strawberries” and “Unplucked” with Andrew Buckland, “Curve balls and crooked hearts”, “To Peel a Perlemoen” and “Kwaaihoek Stories”
Performing on steel string guitar, harmonica and occasionally pan flute, he will have you tapping along to his tunes.
