That’s right It’s that time of the year again for the annual Uncle Jumbo’s Christmas Party, which has become a highlight for Port Elizabeth during the festive season. The show is organised each year by the Rotaract Club of Port Elizabeth, who is assisted by the Rotary Club of Port Elizabeth.
An exciting tractor ride takes the families to Uncle Jumbo’s Farm-style Castle where Uncle Jumbo hosts a party and his friends Noddy and Big Ears come along to have some fun, singing and entertaining the kids. They are joined by other characters such as Pixie, Tinkerbell and Mr Plod. Father Christmas brings presents (which are supplied by the parents in advance) for each child! It is a magical night of fun and laughter for the children and the parents are able to relax and picnic around the arena while their children are entertained or join in the fun!
Food, drinks and snacks are on sale, but picnics are also welcome. There is a marching band and a troop of clowns to keep the children happy and each child receives a free packet of chips, a cool drink and a packet of sweets from Tinkerbell during the evening.
The show runs from 24 November 2012 to 8 December 2012, excluding 25, 26 November and 2, 3 December. Gates open at 18.00pm and the show starts at 18.30pm. Depending on how many people there are, the show usually ends around 20.30pm for 21.00pm. Tickets are available from Computicket, either online or at a Computicket outlet. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for any queries. The prices for the show are R40 per adult and R50 per child. Remember to bring a gift for each child, clearly marked with the child’s name to be handed in before the tractor ride, as well as any old toys to donate to charity. All proceeds from the show go to charity initiatives.
We look forward to seeing you there!
