Uber Eats on the Port Elizabeth Menu

11 October 2018 By MyPortElizabeth

From today, Port Elizabeth locals can now order delicious meals with a touch of a button on the Uber Eats app. Dubbed as the friendly city, Port Elizabeth becomes the sixth city in the country to receive a quick, reliable way of ordering food on the Uber Eats app.

Uber Eats is an on-demand food delivery app powered by Uber, and it’s just as easy and convenient to use as the rides app people know and love. From personalised recommendations, scheduling orders ahead of time to filtering for the right food, Uber Eats makes eating well effortless, any time for everyone

“Uber Eats global has recently changed its logo and we are thrilled to be launching Uber Eats in the friendly city with our new look and feel. Over the past two years, Uber Eats has been at the helm of satisfying the needs of our customers, bringing them their favourite meals in the quickest, convenient and most reliable method,” says Ailyssa Pretorius, General Manager for Uber Eats South Africa.

In Port Elizabeth, Uber Eats will be available in the following areas Summerstrand, Walmer and surrounding areas with many new locations to be added in the upcoming weeks. So, whether Eaters are in the mood for a burger from McDonald’s, feeling one of Panarottis’ tasty pizzas or even some delicious treats from Wimpy, Eaters can now have it delivered within 35 minutes.

Uber Eats also offers delivery partners a flexible way to make money on a schedule that works for them. They work when they want, and choose how they want to deliver, from driving a car to riding a bike or scooter.

Pretorius concludes, “We recently celebrated our two-year anniversary and what better way to celebrate by bringing the magic of Uber Eats to Port Elizabeth – creating a new way for consumers to access the food they love, opening up new earning opportunities for delivery-partners, and enabling local restaurants to connect with more customers to grow their business.”
