Parnell says he doesn’t do drugs

The 22-year-old yesterday "put straight media reports" that he was involved in drugs after Indian media reported that he had been detained by the police in a raid on a drug-fuelled rave party on Sunday at Oak Woods Hotel, in the northern Mumbai suburb of Juhu. Police found 110g of cocaine, ecstasy and charas (a form of dagga) according to police commissioner Vishwas Nagre Patil. One Dies as Stone Wall Collapses on Marine Drive

A wall has fallen over, injuring workers on Marine Drive. The wall is on the Humewood Beach side of the Barneys Pub, Shark Rock Pier. One worker was killed and second badly injured. The Coega Development Corporation today welcomed the news of the signing of a Joint Study Agreement (JSA) between PetroSA and The Chinese Petrochemical Corporation (The Sinopec Group), the People’s Republic of China’s (PRC) state-owned integrated energy and chemical conglomerate. The Cape High Court last week held that some sections of the Sexual Offences Act did not have any punitive measures nor any stipulated punishment clauses, leaving our children to the mercy of sexual predators who will take advantage of this gross and incompetent omission.
