Cases of civil debt continue to decline in East London

The number of civil cases for debt reported at the East London magistrate’s court dropped by more than 50% from February to March this year. Figures released by Statistics South Africa this morning show that just 160 cases were reported in East London, bringing the total for the first three months of the year to 769.
