January 2016 saw the T20 U13 Knockout Challenge kick off with the first cricket fixtures being played amongst the participating EP Cricket primary schools.
The T20 U13 Knockout Challenge is the second phase of the partnership between Voltro 88 (Pty) Ltd t/a KFC and Eastern Province Cricket.
The partnership seeks to develop cricket in the region from grass roots level and has seen 4 cricket coaching clinics being hosted to date, with two more scheduled for the next few weeks.
The T20 U13 Knockout Challenge sees over 100 local primary schools play off against each other with the top 4 teams coming together to play at St Georges Stadium on the 12th of March 2016, for the finals which will be played under lights.
The knockout challenge seeks to promote excellent cricket at a primary school level in the hope of promoting and nurturing talent in the province.

The initial sponsorship agreement was signed in August 2015 between EP Cricket and Voltro 88 (Pty) Ltd t/a KFC.
