If you assumed that the demand for electricity and need for load shedding only occurred during the week when ALL businesses were consuming power it appears that assumption is the mother of all (YOU KNOW WHAT). That assumption though is completely in line with a business model that; Thanks you for using less of a product and Canes you for using more of a product!
In fact today during my load shedding I am going to go to my nearest wholesaler, buy in bulk and insist on paying more for my products than if I only bought one!
In their last bulletin Eskom stated: The capacity available to meet the 14 February evening’s peak demand is 28 746 MW (including open cycle gas turbines) while demand is forecast at 29 020 MW.
Sunday 15 February looks like another load shedding day as the capacity available to meet that evening’s peak demand is 28 797 MW (including open cycle gas turbines) while demand is forecast at 29 004 MW.
Happy bloody valentines day!
