On Saturday 30 March, the Splash Festival programme was cut at 16H00 due to adverse weather conditions. Provision was made for the remaining artists to perform on Monday, 1 April.
On Sunday 31 April, on the recommendation of the Safety and Security cluster, a decision was made in terms of the Safety at Sports and Recreational Events Act of 2010 to postpone the entertainment on stage as the stage was deemed as unsafe for performances.
The South African Weather Services has advised that the weather conditions are conducive to allow performances on Monday, 1 April 2013.
Organisers of the Splash Festival, Soul Good confirmed yesterday that the full programme with all artists will perform on Monday 1 April. The programme will start at 09H00 and will commence throughout the day.
Both headline acts, JIMMY NEVIS and NTANDO will perform at 17H50 and 18H35 respectively. The FIREWORKS display will commence at 20H00
Members of the public are encouraged to bring umbrellas and in the event of light showers, to stay and enjoy the festivities.
Organisers have apologised for any inconvenience caused by this postponement, but have guaranteed a day of amazing entertainment today as the entire festival with all its components continues for the duration of Monday, 1 April 2013.
