Metro Security Services have partnered with the Southern Kings and will be providing security services for the remaining home matches of the 2017 Super Rugby season.
“It is important that local companies give back to their communities and get behind initiatives that can unify and uplift people,” said Alfred da Costa, chairman of the Metro Security Services Group of Companies.
“The Eastern Cape has a rich rugby history and talent pool. Hosting top flight events also have a significant economic impact for the region,” he said.
Da Costa said the partnership was a perfect fit for Metro Security Services, a company that was founded in Nelson Mandela Bay in 2003 and has since grown to be a dynamic organisation within the South African security industry.
“A critical factor of any major event is the physical wellbeing and safety of those attending, as well as the safety of their property, and Metro Security Services has the experience and know-how to fulfil that role,” said da Costa.
“We are delighted to have Metro Security Services, which has its origins in Nelson Mandela Bay, partnering with us,” said Southern Kings Chief Operations Officer, Charl Crous.
Crous said the support of local business was critical in the long term success of professional rugby in the region.
The Southern Kings face the Cell C Sharks at the Nelson Mandela bay Stadium on Saturday, 13 May 2017. Gates open at 12 noon, with a curtain raiser between the EP Kings and Border Bulldogs, before the main game at 17:15.
