Amidst the ten foreign yachts that sheltered in the Port of Port Elizabeth this past weekend was this Modern cruiser, a Baltic 42, sailed by one lone Scotsman on his way down the coast to Cape Town – Taken by the Editor whilst wandering aimlessly about pretending to be in the know.
Many sailors spend time with the friendly members of the Algoa Bay Yacht Club before continuing on their journey.
Most foreign sailors view the coastline from Richards Bay to Cape Town with trepidation and consider the rounding of Cape Aghullas (the southernmost tip of Africa) to be an achievement of note with many celebrating the achievement with an ear piercing of the left ear!
