Audiences who enjoyed the recent sell out show, “50 Shades of Eve” (with Marelize Barnard and Niqui Cloete-Barrass) will be thrilled to hear that its co-creator and performer, Faye Gatley, will be treating PE to a one night only show featuring a few extra shades of her own personality and experiences.
In a combination of covers and original songs, Faye takes you on a journey of the “its-complicated” love, “better-off-without-you” love, as well as new original songs about working life and chasing dreams.
Those who have enjoyed Faye’s original song “I don’t wanna fight” on Algoa FM can look forward to some brand new originals, which she is currently recording at Drop ‘n Roll Studios in Port Elizabeth.
Faye is no novice to the stage – both musical and theatrical. This year alone she has performed in Twotone Music’s “Divalicious Project”; opened for Dan Patlansky and Magna Carta; released her debut music video “Ndithanda Wena”; and earned a Showtime Award for Best Amateur actress 2011.
In this show, Faye is joined by phenomenal rocker Wayne Kallis of Pistola on guitar and vocals. Pistola recently opened for SA Rock bands Prime Circle and aKing; and their popular single “Down the road” reached number 19 on Algoa FM‘s top 30. Wayne will be performing an acoustic version of their new single “Coming down” on the evening.
Playing on the heart-strings, the ECPO’s Liska du Preez will be joining Faye on violin and vocals.
“Shades of Faye” takes place at The Music Kitchen on the 7th November at 7:30pm. Tickets are R50 and can be booked through Lindsay at 083 455 8007 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Bookings are essential.
