There is still no water in the area in which I live (New Brighton Railway Flats) and the smelly situation at the Red Location Museum continues!
I hope this situation will be resolved today. The Municipality helpline lied to me when I phoned them yesterday morning – there was a strike and workers were locked in their offices until late afternoon! See my facebook conversation insert below – where the real reason is stated for our lack of water.
Our principles should come out and address this issue this morning! How do we know that the labour issue will be settled and our water situation restored?
I have been informed that the workers at Municipal Waterworks are continuing with their strike.
What must we do about water? Not only do the Red Location Museum staff and the Community at large have no water (apart from a few public water taps where there are long queues of residents) – BUT – what about visitors and tourists who are expected to enter a smelly Red Location Museum?!
No media reporting on the matter today – and not even water tanks have been sent to assist our Community members!
