The interweb has been slow and patchy today – which I put down to everyone and his furry friend downloading files in a mad attempt to use up their bandwidth allocations.
I must report though that my NetConnect Connection (Thanks Adrian) connection is still up – unlike other connections where people are moaning that they are down, down, down.
The reason for the poor connectivity is that part of the SAT3 international cable is currently down causing slow international connectivity. This will affect all ISP’s and clients using the SAT3 cable.
Telkom and its upstream suppliers are addressing the issue, but have not yet given a clear ETA as to when the problem will be resolved.
