Herewith some valuable information we received regarding the SASSA Re-registration process.
All grant recipients will receive notifications through the post informing them on when to re-register.
Re-registrations are taking place at the Walmer Town Hall, Main Road, Walmer:
- Monday – Friday: 09:00 – 15:00 and
- Saturday: 09:00 – 13:00
We will inform you should other venues be allocated.
Please take note that in case no letter was received the re-registrations are taking place in accordance to the last digit of your ID number:
- Date – Last Digit of ID
- 7 to 12 January – 0
- 14 to 19 January – 1
- 21 to 26 January – 2
- 28 January to 2 February 2013 – 3
- 4 to 9 February – 4
- 11 to 16 February – 5
- 18 to 23 February – 6
- 25 February to 2 March – 7
- 4 to 9 March – 8
- 11 to 16 March – 9
Kindly ensure that you bring along the following documentation:
- a valid RSA Barcoded ID document and
- in the case of 7777 ID numbers, the letter of award from SASSA.
Should you be in receipt of a care dependency grant or are frail, or over the age of 75 years and can not get to your registration site, please request a home visit by calling one of the numbers below to arrange for a home visit.

Please note that the re-registration can NOT be done at the SASSA Satellite Office in Lorraine. Only new grant/pension applications will be done there. This office will only open again on Tuesday, 15 January 2013.
