London – A day before the Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius is due to appear in the dock for a pre-trial hearing, Reeva Steenkamp’s parents will make some explosive revelations in a documentary set to be aired on Channel 5 in Britain on Monday night.
The 26-year-old double amputee and six-time Paralympic sprint champion has been charged with premeditated murder, but claims he shot the 29-year-old Reeva after mistaking her for an intruder.
According to the Mail Online, Reeva’s parents open up about Reeva’s fears of Oscar and reveal a chilling picture painted by Reeva, as a teenager, depicting a gunman, an angel and a stairway to heaven which her parents described as a “premonition”.
“She was afraid. She was so afraid,” Reeva’s mother, June, says during the documentary titled Why Did Oscar Pistorius Kill Our Daughter?
“How did she end up with a person like this? Who could shoot her? I want to know. We don’t know what happened. There is only one person who knows what happened,” June says during the Channel 5 programme.
Reeva’s parents also reveal unseen personal photographs and letters.
The documentary also shows the emotional scene as friends and family came together to scatter Reeva’s ashes in the waters of Nelson Mandela Bay.
