This past Friday 3 February 2017 I wandered along the marina in front of the Algoa Bay Yacht Club in the Port of Port Elizabeth taking happy snaps of the foreign yachts sheltering there before embarking on their voyages around Cape Aghullas and on to Cape Town, Simonstown or ports further afield.
These images I then posted to Instagram and MyPE wondering if anyone would be interested in seeing yachts doing nothing but being moored.
The screenshot you see here is proof that Port Elizabeth people have a unique connection to the sea as those articles, each containing an image of one yacht, now make up EVERY SINGLE ONE of the most read articles on MyPE for today.
We are quietly of the opinion that if we continue to showcase what benefits a PE Waterfront will bring to Port Elizabeth that the authorities will bend and join hands with the public in creating a space that we can all be proud of.
Start off by supporting the businesses that are already sited and operating within the confines of the proposed PE Waterfront.
