2015 JoomlaDay South Africa is being hosted in Port Elizabeth on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 March 2015.
Port Elizabeth was chosen as a result of a suggestion made at the last JoomlaDay South Africa that the event be rotated where the weekend is held allowing for developers and users of the Joomla Content Management System to see more of our beautiful country and give an opportunity to those unable to travel out of town the ability to share in the knowledge, expertise and camaraderie that these events offer.
The organisers provided these ‘interesting facts’ about PE:
- PE has possibly the greatest number of nicknames among them the ‘Friendly City’, the ’10-minute-city’ and the ‘windy city’!
- The oldest bowling green is housed in PE
- After Cape Town PE is the second most historically-rich city in South Africa AND the second largest city in SA
JoomlaDay™ South Africa 2015 is still in its infancy in terms of confirmed speakers, topics and give-aways but you can be sure that Port Elizabeth will not allow Johannesburg to take the lead in the most successful conference to date!!
As mentioned the conference will take place on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 March at The Kelway Hotel and organisers have negotiated excellent rates for attendees.
JoomlaDay™ in South Africa has been running since 2007, with the 11th event being organised in 2015. The event has been held in Cape Town, Durban Johannesburg.
A Joomla Day event allows end users, managers, administrators, developers and service providers to the Joomla community, to connect in various ways from listening to presentations which cover technical aspects of Joomla! to case studies on how to use Joomla! in a web environment. Networking is also a big part of the event, and you are bound to meet people with ideas, issues and solutions which can be discussed and talked about at the event.
JoomlaDay is a day of networking, presentations, discussions and fun all around the Joomla!® Content Management System (CMS).
JoomlaDay events are organized by volunteers in the local Joomla! community.
