Port Elizabeth police on Monday recovered a Chevrolet LDV within hours after it was stolen during a business robbery at a filling station in Struandale, Port Elizabeth.
“At approximately 07:00 in the morning, five suspects were involved in a business robbery,” said police spokeperson, Capt Sandra Janse van Rensburg.
“The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and the vehicle of the complainant a white Chevrolet LDV.
“At approximately 14:00, members that were performing crime prevention duties in KwaZakele recovered the vehicle in Sompontsha Street, Kwazakele, abandoned.”
She said that the vehicle was impounded for further investigation.
“A case of business robbery is under investigation at Algoa Park Police Station,” said Capt van Rensburg.
