Police in Port Elizabeth have issued a warning to local residents and appealed to the public to notify authorities if they come across a toxic chemical that was stolen just outside the City.
“A very toxic and environmentally hazardous chemical called Kemprin 200 EC was stolen from a truck at Truckers Inn, Wells Estate. A box containing 12 x one litre bottles was stolen,” police said.
According to the Arysta Lifescience website, Kemprin 200 EC is a dangerous “concentrate insecticide acting as a direct contact and stomach insecticide for Agricultural use on crops”.
