Police in Port Elizabeth arrested two suspects on Friday morning after they were caught with a stolen vehicle.
Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg said that an off-duty officer called in when he noticed a suspicious Opel Corsa bakkie parked at the Medicross in Linton Grange.
Kabega Park Police then responded to the call, and followed the bakkie into Westering.
Three suspects abandoned the bakkie in Marinda Road and headed for a bushy area in Diggery road.
According to AlgoaFM, the police then established that the Opel Corsa bakkie being driven by the suspects had been hijacked in Kwazakele in November 2015, and with assistance from the Mount Road police, they arrested two of the three suspects.
The two will appear in court on Monday.
