A popular fast food outlet, specialising in charcoal grilled chicken, has burnt out in Govan Mbeki Avenue, Port Elizabeth.

The blaze started at Zebros Chicken, shortly before 3.30pm this afternoon.

Emergency Services confirmed that they had received a call at 3.28pm, and that six fire trucks had been dispatched.

The fire has since been brought under control, although members of the fire department are still on the scene, dampening down the building.
