Several Port Elizabeth (PE) suburbs will be without water for an estimated four hours on Tuesday.
The supply will be shut off when tests are conducted as part of the Nelson Mandela Bay metro’s water loss programme.
Municipal spokesperson Kupido Baron says the plan is to shutdown the water supply to Bethelsdorp and Acardia between 10:00 and 14:00.
This will be to enable service providers to conduct tests as part of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality water loss programme.
“We plan to conclude the whole exercise during a period of four hours, if everything goes according to plan,” says Baron.
“We would like to apologize to the community for any inconvenience as a result of the implementation of the programme,” he adds.
