Remarks The species has been taken from estuarine muds in salinities ranging from0 to 35%o. Haliophasma Haswell, 1881Exanthura Barnard, 1914: 336a. Diagnosis Integument usually indurate, often with scattered small pits. Pereonites4-6 each with single mid-dorsal pit. Pleonites 1-5 fused, pleonite 6 free, orrarely more or less fused with telson. Telson often sculptured, indurate, withpair of basal statocysts. Antennular flagellum of two to six articles. Antennalflagellum of four to seven articles.
