Two Port Elizabeth gang members have been sentenced to life imprisonment for murder, attempted murder, aggravated robbery and possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu says 32-year-old Randy Malgas and 31-year-old Sergio Slabbert were sentenced in the PE High Court earlier on Monday.
Both were affiliated to the Kakmakers gang and were sentenced to a lifetime behind bars for shooting and killing 28-year-old Shaegan Goeda in December of 2016.
Another man, aged 27, was wounded in the right arm in the shooting which took place at a house in Ledger Street in Kleinskool.
Malgas and Slabbert were both arrested in January of 2017 and remained in custody until the finalisation of the case.
Acting Provincial Police Commissioner, Major Gen Andries Swart commended the investigating team and the prosecuting authority for the successful prosecution of the matter.
