Port Elizabeth – The three men currently facing charges relating to the murder of popular schoolteacher Jayde Panayiotou in April, made a brief appearance in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday morning.
The men include Jayde’s husband Christopher Panayiotou, 28, who is accused of orchestrating the hit on his wife, along with alleged hitman Sizwezakhe Vumazonke, 30, and Sinethemba Nenembe, 28, who was more recently linked to the case.
Charges against Luthando Siyoli, 31, a bouncer at Panayiotou’s nightclub in Algoa Park, who allegedly acted as the middleman, have been withdrawn after he turned state witness.
The matter was postponed to January 11 for further investigation.
