We are having endless problems with the Total dealership in Admiraty Way, Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth.
After communicating numerous times with Christo Coetzee at the service station I can only conclude that he has absolutely no regard for the residents of the Somerson Retirement Village bordering the garage.
After numerous complaints he placed the rubbish and recycle bins on the boundary bordering the village! There are 3 other boundaries, yet he insists on optimising the inconvenience to the residents of Somerson who are now infested with flies and filth!
A few years ago, I made a complaint to the municipality who insisted that the dealer install sound proofing around the machines/refridgeration units placed on the walls directly in front of the Somerson units on the border of his property.
Last night (21 January) one of the machines began switching on and off every 30 seconds with grinding and hissing noises very prevalent.
Our Somerson manager, Pieter Anthony, contacted Christo first thing on Wednesday morning, who said no noises are evident.
I was woken up at 12:00 pm on 21 January with the noise eminating from the garage machines. I called Fatima at the garage to request that they switch off the noisy machine. Once again, no action was taken.
I have also sent a letter of concern to the Total Regional Office requesting action.
The images below will adequately demonstrate the filth and health hazards that now border the Somerson Retirement Village.
