Professors Andrew Leitch, former Executive Dean of Science, and Denise Zinn, former Executive Dean of Education, have been appointed as Deputy Vice-Chancellors at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University as from 1 December 2014.
Both are delighted to have the opportunity to further serve the university in their capacities of DVC: Research and Engagement and DVC: Teaching and Learning respectively.
The appointments were made following the departures of Professors Piet Naude and Thoko Mayekiso.

Prof Leitch has been acting in the position following the departure of Prof Mayekiso to take up the position as Vice-Chancellor of the new University of Mpumalanga.
Prof Zinn is also looking forward to further engaging with students and staff from a teaching and learning perspective.
