The article of Michael Du Plessis on 21.08.2014 refers.
I cannot see the situation getting much better even if the times of the soccer matches were changed, which is unlikely because of potential TV coverage being sought by officialdom at the stadium.
The stadium still wants to host as many other events as possible besides rugby and soccer because of their operating at a loss for which us ratepayers are paying. Much of this will probably be in the form of noisy concerts, etc. being held in the evening until whatever time.
The stadium should have never been built where it is now or even built in the first place particularly from a financial point of view.
I am still to be convinced that the stadium should be costing so much to run every month. Compare it with how the Boet Erasmus Stadium was run which I understand cost the ratepayer nothing.
