The Chilli Boys are set to face AmaKhosi in an exhibition match at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday, to launch their relocation to Port Elizabeth.
Chippa were based in Cape Town, since they were launched in 2010 and were promoted to the top tier two years later but were relegated after one season.
Mbenyane said that his charges are ready for the workout, which they hope will help lift them in their quest to avoid the drop this time around.
“We’ve worked hard to be where we are right now and we are here in the Premiership to stay,” the 26-year-old forward told The Herald.
“The players are in good spirits and the match against Chiefs will be a good start for us to gauge our readiness for next season.
“Our players, including the newly signed players, are more experienced than before and they are used to playing in big venues like Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
“The temperature here will also favour us since we are used to coastal conditions,” he added.
