Chippa United coach, Roger Sikhakhane, has the team’s captain, Andile Mbenyane, available for selection for the game against Bidvest Wits.
The Chilli Boys missed the team’s influential captain in their last four games in the league, owing to a toe injury.
Mbenyane last turned out for the Port Elizabeth-based side in the game against Ajax Cape Town in August. Chippa’s COO, Lukanyo Mzinzi, confirmed to the Siya crew that Mbenyane is available for the game against the Students.
“We are excited to have our captain back. He looks very sharp in training. We are looking forward to having him in the team,” said Mzinzi.
Chippa will be without Thamsanqa Sangweni for the game at the Nelson Mandela Stadium.
The midfielder, who scored his side’s equaliser against Mamelodi Sundowns in the previous game, is suspended for Wednesday’s game.
Chippa have enjoyed a five-game unbeaten run with three wins and two draws, including the memorable 1-0 victory over Orlando Pirates.
