As South Africa continues to celebrate 20 years of freedom and democracy, it is becoming more important for government to quickly identify challenges, come up with interventions and work with more vigour and commitment to change people’s lives for the better. Consultation and unity in action with the citizenry then become more crucial that ever before. It is for these reasons that Nelson Mandela Bay Executive Mayor, Benson Fihla and his Mayoral Committee are going all out to communities on a Mayoral Outreach Programme.
The intention of the programme is to create a platform for communities to raise issues that need the attention of the leadership. They will also keep the leadership abreast of the general challenges and situations unfolding in communities. The NMBM leadership will also get an opportunity to listen and take advice from the community. As they will be accompanied by a number of senior officials, the leadership will also provide service delivery related information and updates.
