Mano Smith is a vibrant Nelson Mandela Bay born who has had the honour of working with some of the country’s sought after musicians. Mano’s musical style ranges through all genres of music but Jazz is the one genre that stole his heart.
He has shared the stage with American musician George Benson, South African legend Hugh Masekela, Selaelo Selota, Freshly Ground, MXO, Slique Angel, Vusi Nova, Johnny Clegg, Judith Sephuma, Don Laka, Oliver Mthukudzi and many more. Mano has appeared at top festival throughout the country namely the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz, Northern Arts Festival, the National Arts Festival, Cape Town International Jazz Festival and Ebubeleni Festival.
Mano currently performs weekly at the Boardwalk Casino and is regularly features as a sessioning artists for local musicians
He has been compared to the likes of Ernie Smith, Jonathan Butler and Jimmy Dludlu. But his sound is an eclectic blend of scintillating rich tones deeply rooted in Jazz which teases the ear.
Mano Smith will play on 05 November 2017 at The Barn Theatre, PE Opera House from 17:00 and Admission is R70.00 (R50.00 Pensioners) – limited seating be sure to be early.
