Magnetic Storm finishes its year of CSR activities as it brings the festive spirit to the Eastern Province Children’s Home.
Magnetic Storm believes in the gift of giving, and instead of offering clients year-end gifts, the team annually decide on a project that will make an impact in the lives of those less fortunate and redirect their spend to that particular cause.
Recently, the Magnetic Storm team visited the EP Children’s home, delivering a large Christmas tree and together with the children, decorated it to the sound of Christmas Carols, with the children enjoying delicious treats and a personal gift bag once the work was done.
“Each year we redirect time and money that would have gone into client gifts, and in our clients’ names, we support a worthy cause within the community. Hence, the gift of giving. Our clients have responded so positively that we have made it an annual project. This year we have supported a number of causes, and it’s an honour to be able to gift a tree to those at Eastern Province Children’s Home,” comments Magnetic Storm Strategic Director, Jane Stevenson. “It’s even more special because 39 children will be spending their Christmas at the Home. It’s a privilege for us to see their faces light up when they decorated the tree and then switched on the lights. It was a magical and emotional experience and a reminder of how lucky we are to spend time with loved ones over the festive season.”
Magnetic Storm believes it is vital to give back to the communities in which they operate. “A company with heart is a company people want to be a part of, and getting teams involved tangibly builds a culture of giving back and purpose,” adds Glenn van Eck, CEO of Magnetic Storm.
