On arrival at Buckingham Palace guests were received by Her Majesty The Queen and HRH The Duke Of Edinburgh in the East Gallery. The guests were presented to Her Majesty and the Duke after which they were entertained in the Palace Music Room with a performance by the Commonwealth Youth Orchestra.
After the concert, the reception continued in a more private settings with drinks being served and the Queen and HRH Princess Beatrice of York spending personal time with some of the guests.
Evert Knoesen said that he was impressed by Her Majesty’s detailed knowledge of the Commonwealth Universities and the work they do.
