Business owners can find out how to grow their businesses at a Propella Business Incubator workshop.
The workshop, sponsored by Telkom FutureMakers, will be facilitated by Wilhela Gie on Thursday, June 30.
Red tape, misdiagnosing customer problems, struggling to establish true value propositions and focusing attention on the wrong thing are some of the issues that Gie has picked up that SMME businesses suffer from.
She is the owner of Enterprise Development Solutions, which has been in business since 2005.
One of the most important aspects she will be covering is identifying real customer problems to ensure that proposed solutions address actual needs.
“Small businesses sometimes misdiagnose customer problems, with the result that customer does not see any value in the solutions offered by the SMMEs,” says Gie.
Other topics to be covered include overcoming barriers to growth, compiling a marketing plan and establishing a growth pipe line.
“Small business owners tend to focus too much on the aspects that they are comfortable in doing and ignoring those aspects which are important for business growth,” she says.
