Late this afternoon, after my day started at 1:00 am this morning, I answered the phone to Trish Difford – who can say no to that gravelly jazz voice?
And what did I say yes to? Get your mind out of the gutter you snipe thing you!
Trish is hosting a little shingding, an evening of food, drinks and laughter on Saturday 21 June 2014 – I did mention drink didn’t I?
And why? To help send a number of squash players to a National Tournament – players that her mother of 89 years young has helped develop.
BUT, I think the real reason she wants to get rid of her mom for a while is so that she can claim the pool back again!

Trish says; “My Mother is 89 and still coaches schools squash every afternoon. She started developing players in SA about 25 years ago and gives an enormous amount of time and effort to keep many of these children off the streets and away from a life of crime and drugs. I am incredibly proud of her and her achievements.”
“EP Schools Squash is sending age group teams to various provinces for the SA Schools Interprovincial Tournaments starting on the 28th June. It will cost from R4,000 to R 6,000 per child and there are 10 disadvantaged players who have been selected for the team on merit but have no money and EP Squash has to fund them,” concluded Trish.
