Put the Ho Ho Ho into your festive shopping this year by popping into the Hill Presbyterian Church’s mini Christmas fete in the Dunn Hall next to the church in Belmont Terrace, Central, on Saturday 1 December.
For early birds the doors will open at 8:00 am and, in the village fair ambience of the hall, shoppers will find an assortment of handmade Christmas gifts of quality – including festive table runners, jars of jam and biscuits, clothing and books.
Raffles of a patchwork quilt and Christmas gift hamper which will include a monster Christmas cake (baked by Sally Kernohan of Sal’s Cooking Fame) and wine can be won. And there will also be scrumptious food on offer to keep hunger pangs at bay.
aaaah makes one think about amply proportioned grannies in sensible shoes and floral print dresses dusted with flour and wreathed in fragrant clouds of baking steam whilst little Alan licks the bowls clean.
