Ghana Football Association decided to play the 2015 Orange AFCON qualifier against Guinea in Tamale instead Kumasi.
The GFA also denied all rumors that say the decision is made because of the hostile reception by fans in Kumasi during last month’s match against Uganda and said that it is part of their rotational policy.
“Not at all, it is not because of the rejection in Kumasi, it is a rotational policy and we want to stick to that,” president of the Ghana FA Kwesi Nyantakyi said.
“The Kumasi rejection was like a pinch on the players. Togo was even friendlier than Kumasi. Some even suggested we play our home matches in Togo but home is home.
“It doesn’t mean we have abandoned the Kumasi stadium forever.”
