At the launch of the Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens Tournament today, young Bobby Skinstad confirmed that the Cape Town Tens players will be playing in Port Elizabeth and he will be launching the inaugural PE Tens on Friday 7 December on the outside fields of the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. Organised by former Springbok Sevens star and Springbok captain Bob Skinstad, the PE Tens hope to follow in the footsteps of the famous Cape Town Tens, which every year attracts hundreds of social rugby players and are watched by thousands of party-going spectators.
The NMB 7?s tournament will take place on Saturday and Sunday 8 and 9 December 2012.
The Cape Town Tens is billed as the world’s biggest rugby tens tournament, and Africa’s greatest rugby party – the 2012 event saw 16 000 visitors, 78 teams and 192 matches. Think the German Beer Fest, meets the Hong Kong 7s, during the height of summer, in one of the world’s most beautiful cities. A two day festival of sport, music, blue skies, beautiful people and one big party!
Tickets for the Sevens went on sale at Computicket today.
