Despite not being around for a full year PE-based agency, Goodbye Boring, took home Gold at the 2017 AMARA Awards for their work for Henley Business School in the Newsprint category.
Their campaign called “Giants Wanted:” featuring bold visuals and challenging copy, was created with the aim of recruiting experienced, highly skilled candidates as staff for Henley and stood head and shoulders about the competition in the Education Recruitment sub-category.
“The problem with most recruitment ads is that they don’t feel the need to be creative, which is why they attract bland candidates. Bland attracts bland. Every piece of communication a company puts out should express who they are in a way that attracts the eye and disrupts the mind.”, said Welsh.
No surprise from an agency that while it may be new on the scene is no ‘start-up’. Goodbye Boring is the brainchild of internationally-awarded creative director, Gary Welsh, who split off from one of the Bay’s biggest advertising agencies to create a new model of agency that moves with the times. Goodbye Boring is an advertising agency without an office, rather they are a network of experienced advertising minds and creatives that work remotely.
“Goodbye Boring’s way of working allows those who now prefer to work from home (or wherever), who would otherwise be lost to the industry to continue producing award-winning work for great brands.”
