I recently attended the T20 match at St Georges park and it was a grand affair. But the general paying public are so exploited that it makes one think that perhaps in the future I should just stay at home and watch it on the telly. I can walk into any Spar and buy a 2 litre Pepsi for R9.99. This is a very good price. At the cricket match the vendors were selling 500 ml coke and coke products at R15.00. So I have now paid for my ticket and now be taken advantage of by the persons selling their wares in the stadium. I am actually paying 25% more for 75% less. To me this is daylight robbery and perhaps this is why our stadium is so empty for local franchise matches. So as you can see it would be much more economical to stay at home and watch it on TV. Between the fuel to get to the game, the car guards and the overpriced refreshments it really becomes an expensive exercise. Look at this please Mr Dave Emslie. Maybe we can get the public back in to the stadium.
