EP scored tries in the first half through fullback Ruan van Rensburg and No 8 Khwezi Mafu, while wings Mohamed Connelly and Lubs Dubelo displayed fine finishing to cross in the second half.

Twice in the second half they drew close to EP’s score (22-17) and (35-31), but each time Bosch’s boot restored the breathing space for EP and their defensive systems were good enough to keep SWD at bay in the closing stages.
